1. Longevity:
ESS-13 is a permanent soil sealing system unlike synthetic membranes with a limited lifespan.

2. Sub-Soil Preparation: Because our lining system cannot tear, it is not necessary to prepare the sub grade prior to installation as far as rock removal. Also, no soil cover is necessary to protect an ESS-13 liner from the sun. This alone can reduce costs considerably.

3. Repairs: Should it be necessary to enter the lake at a later time to add pipes or repair aeration systems, there is no danger of tearing the liner or no problem associated with additional penetrations.

4. Maintenance: This item is particularly important when effluent water is being used. It may be necessary, every few years, to drain the lake and remove scum build up. By nature, effluent water will produce considerable algae that can, over time, become a problem if not cleaned out. This is a very simple process when our lining system has been utilized. It is virtually impossible with the use of any synthetic membrane.
