There
are few different methods Seepage Control, Inc. uses to
construct liners for their lakes and ponds. We will go over
the two distinctly different ones on this site.
Seepage
Control, Inc. has the unique ability to construct a liner
when the lake is full or partially full. No other lining
method can accomplish this task. We call this our Waterborne
method. This method involves using our proprietary chemical
ESS-13 and mixing it into the water that is present in the
lake. Over the next couple of weeks as the water leaks through
the current liner the ESS-13 is pulled into the voids and
seals them. We have had tremendous success repairing lakes
and ponds that have failed from other lining methods.
The
Waterborne Method
The
second method that we will discuss is the Treated and Compacted
method. This involves the construction of the lake or pond
liner from the very beginning. The soil is prepared by spraying
the ESS-13 onto the soil with a water truck then mixing
it into the soil with a tractor and rome disc. Once the
soil is sufficiently mixed the compactor is brought in to
compact the soil. The liner is generally built in 6"
stages or "lifts". Most lakes will require at
least 2-3 lifts. Any areas where there are protrusion in
the lake bed have to be compacted with a jumping jack hand
compactor.
